Every channel, fed from one place.
Lunar X runs 15+ kids' IPs across more than a hundred YouTube channels. We built the platform that feeds them: episodes come in from Drive, are composed into videos, get their metadata and go out as uploads, livestreams and monetised videos, all as background jobs.
The jobs run serverless on Google Cloud, orchestrated with Workflows and Batch; the API (AdonisJS) and the web app (Nuxt 3) run on Cloud Run over PostgreSQL. The whole infrastructure is code in Pulumi, so we handed it over to Lunar X's team ready to deploy. It grew out of Braintube and replaced it.
Ingest
Videos come in from Drive.
Compose
Job data, video composition and a thumbnail set up each job.
Describe
Title, description, category and keywords go into the video metadata.
Run
Jobs run in the background (uploads, up to 100 always-on livestreams at once, monetisation), each with its channel, duration and status in one list.
