Blind Cap
Smart cap and coach app for blind swimmers
The tap on the head, replaced by a vibration.
A swimming cap that vibrates when the coach signals the turn, replacing the tap on the head with a pole that blind swimmers train with. Made for Samsung with the Spanish Paralympic Committee; we co-developed the coach apps for the Galaxy S7 and the Gear S2 watch. The campaign won Gold in Mobile at Cannes Lions 2016.
The coach follows the swimmer and taps the Gear S2 watch or the Galaxy S7, and the signal reaches the cap over Bluetooth LE; the apps run on Android and Tizen, and the cap's electronics were made by Embeblue. Besides Gold in Mobile, for Activation by Proximity, the campaign took a Design Bronze at Cannes Lions 2016 for UX and user journey, the Mobile Grand Prix at El Sol 2017 and a Merit for Use of Technology at The One Show 2017.

Watch
